Hi!

So this week started off pretty crazy, with 2 different conferences where we had to go to Asuncion. On Tuesday the mission had its leadership council, and this time they brought all the district leaders there so I went. I was able to meet up with a ton of friends from the mission and listen to what President wants us to implement in the future. I was able to receive lots of revelation and help for my district and area. And then the next day, we had our Zone Conference, where they repeated a lot of the stuff from the leadership council, but to a zone wide audience. But there we received some very interesting news. In Paraguay they drink this stuff called, ‘Tererè’, which is essentially herbs put in a cup, then you fill the cup with water, stick a straw in it and drink the herb water. Paraguayans LOVE it, but it’s never been permitted that the missionaries can drink it. We found out that day that we CAN drink it now, only in our apartments. It tastes alright, a lemony grass water sort of drink, so just a cool little announcement that a lot of people in the mission will like.

After all those conferences we finally were able to work in our area the rest of the week. We were able to do a ton of visits, and especially visit our friend Beatriz. She is willing to get married to be able to be baptized! So that’s awesome, but what’s not awesome is how expensive it is to get married here in Paraguay. What we’ll have to do is find a way to get their marriage certificate in a cheap way, so make sure to keep Beatriz in your prayers! While we were visiting her we were also able to teach one of her neighbors and we put her on date for baptism as well! So we are seeing a lot of success right now in Ypane. Hopefully I’m still here for the baptisms that will happen but who knows, I am just going to continue to trust in the Lord as I start these last few months of my mission.

During my mission I have seen the importance of setting goals and plans for our lives. I want to share with you the invitations that President Nelson extended to us during General Conference:

First: Get on the covenant path and stay there.

Second: Discover the joy of daily repentance.

Third: Learn about God and how He works.

Fourth: Seek and expect miracles.

Fifth: End conflict in your personal life.

I want to invite you to make goals and plans for these invitations. When we do this, we are better able to make our dreams happen and make action happen, instead of just sitting there and wanting something to happen out of happenstance.

That’s it from me, talk to you next week!

So there's this member in another branch of the Stake I'm in right now that does scripture cover art work. I got this for a small book of mormon, the front being Jesús casting out the money changers at the temple and the back is Jesús being supported by an angel during his suffering in Gethsemane
