Hola a todos!
This past week was super busy, and this coming week is shaping up to be even busier. It started off with a zone council where we got together to discuss what we learned in Zone Conference last week. We had a great time there and I was able to give a training on why we do lessons with members and how we do it effectively. Afterwards I went on divisions with my Zone Leader Elder Dutson here in Ypané. We were able to find lots of people to teach and had a ton of fun, and I learned a lot about what my district needs. Afterwards Wednesday and Thursday were full with helping our friends Jimena and Beatriz prepare for baptism this Saturday. I think Jimena will easily get baptized but Beatriz will be a bit more difficult due to her living situation so make sure to offer a prayer for Beatriz. On Friday I did another division with an Elder in our district Elder Gottfredson, and in that division we put 4 people on date for baptism. We had a great time this week, and with this week being the last week of the transfer we are going to work a ton to help our friends get baptized.
Throughout my mission I have learned a lot of the simpleness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is described as such in Alma 37:44,
For behold, it is as easy to give heed to the word of Christ, which will point to you a straight course to eternal bliss, as it was for our fathers to give heed to this compass, which would point unto them a straight course to the promised land.
When we follow this Gospel which he has prepared, we are promised to not be led astray. Alma continues in verse 46 saying,
O my son, do not let us be slothful because of the business of the way; for so was it with our fathers; for so was it prepared for them, that if they would look they might live; even so it is with us. The way is prepared, and if we will look we may live forever.
Let us not be slothful is a great saying, and I invite you all to think in the ways in which you can be more active in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so that you can receive his goodness and blessings.
