Hola!
Hard to believe that we are hitting triple digits with the number of weeks I’ve been out. It’s gone by so fast. We had a super fun week. As a mission we are really focusing on lessons with investigators with a member present, but a problem here in San Isidro is that everyone works a lot, and there isn’t too much time for them in the day. So we had the idea of bringing the investigators to them in Family Home Evenings instead of them going to the house with them. So we had lots of Family Home Evenings this week where we could bring our friends to meet and develop friendships with members. It was super fun. We also did lots of service this week as a district, so that was tons of fun. This week really just flew by, and it’s crazy to think that I’m really starting my last week as a missionary, it’s ridiculous.
In the letters that we send to our mission President, there is a section that asks us to talk about an attribute of Christ that we are going to work to develop in the week that will follow. For the last week of my mission, I decided to work on the attribute of temperance this week. On my mission I have learned and developed lots of awesome habits, and I want to be able to continue those habits after my mission. In Doctrine in Covenants 12:8, the Lord says to those who are entrusted in the work of the Lord,
And no one can assist in this work except he shall be humble and full of love, having faith, hope, and charity, being temperate in all things, whatsoever shall be entrusted to his care.
I hope we can all look to develop these attributes, especially temperance, so that we can be disciplined enough to submit to the will of the Lord.
