Hello!
It’s starting to feel really weird when I write the subject line for an email and the number is starting to approach the triple digits, it doesn’t feel like I’ve been out for that long. On Tuesday morning a member from Ypane drove Elder Muñoz and I up to the office. I said goodbye to him and then headed out to San Isidro. My first day we were in a trio, because the Elder I was replacing, Elder Cartwright, was gonna go to his area the next day, so we had a fun first day where I could get to know the area and the people we are teaching. My companion is Elder Lascano from Ecuador, he has about 8 months in the mission. I also met our friend Julio, who has a baptismal date for the 25th. He is 12 years old and is super excited about the church, one time this week we got to his house and he was explaining the Book of Mormon to one of his neighbors. Awesome kid. The only problem is we still don’t know his parents, and this week they didn’t give him permission to go to church and I don’t know if he will get permission to get baptized. So keep Julio in your prayers!
Besides that we had a super fun week. Lots of walking and talking to people. We also had yet another Stake Conference this week, which was lots of fun. But today we are having a multi-mission conference so I don’t have too much time to write so I will end this email by sharing this scripture…
Alma 31:5
And now, as the preaching of the word had a great tendency to clear the people to do that which was just—yea, it had had more powerful effect upon the minds of the people than the sword, or anything else, which had happened unto them—therefore Alma thought it was expedient that they should try the virtue of the word of God.
I have learned on my mission that the gospel is what really helps us change and have happiness in our lives. As the scripture says it is more powerful than the sword or anything else in the world. I invite you all to prioritize the gospel in your lives so that you can truly experience happiness and peace in this life.

That’s it from me, I hope you all have a great week!
Elder Watson
