Hola!
We had a good time this week! This transfer flew by extremely quickly, can’t believe it’s already over. I’ve noticed the longer the time I have on the mission the quicker the weeks and transfers seem to fly. Just as I can’t believe this transfer is over I can’t believe that I am writing a weekly email again. Well, we knew there would be transfers this week so we made sure to visit all of our members and friends this week in case one of us were leaving. All of the pictures in this email are ourselves with different members. We didn’t receive transfer news until Sunday, we were already in bed nodding off when we got a call at 11 o’clock. We learned Elder Valenzuela was leaving to be a group leader. The mission leads 2 areas called Carepegua and Achay where in Carepegua an Elder is a Branch President and in Achay an Elder is the group leader. So that should be exciting for him, in his place I will be receiving Elder Maynes. He came in my group back in January, and I haven’t seen him since. He’s a good missionary and I am really looking forward to this next transfer.

For the past few weeks, I have been playing the piano during sacrament meetings for our branch as well as the other branch as we are sharing church buildings at the moment. I had the opportunity to attend the other branch’s testimony meeting. Elder Taylor and Elder Gonzalez are leaving and their area is getting whitewashed, so this was their last Sunday in the area. A member bore his testimony on missionary work, and during the testimony, he expressed gratitude for what the Elders had done for him the past few months. He said that he had been struggling in his testimony and family issues and that oftentimes he had thought about disassociating himself from the church. He became emotional as he talked about how the Elders had helped him turn to the scriptures and prayer to get him through this difficult time. It was a very tender moment to see and reminded me of my purpose as a missionary to invite others to Christ. I hope you can all do as this brother did and turn to the scriptures and prayer during times of trial.
That’s it from me, talk to you next week!
Elder Watson
