¿Como están?
Elder Valenzuela and I had a really good week visiting with our investigators, talking with a lot of people, and getting to know the less active members of the branch. We are really working with the branch leadership to increase more and more the sacrament attendance each week. This is the most help I’ve had from branch leadership since April, and it is so much easier and efficient when we have the help and confidence of the members and leadership. So we are going to keep on working and doing our best!
A really weird but cool thing happened this week. When Elder Valenzuela and I were walking back to our apartment one night, we saw a really big crowd at an intersection. We walked up and found out it was a massive presentation of cars for a race to take place the following day. Everyone had their phones out to film as cars would stop at the little checkpoint to introduce themselves, then they would screech off to the right, going as fast as they could, making the most noise as they could. It was really bizarre, and luckily it only lasted for about an hour so that we could get to sleep. Unfortunately we didn’t see the race, but it was cool to see this little event nonetheless.

There is a member in our branch that is going through a rough time right now. We visited her this past week and she told us that her grandpa is in the hospital on life support, and she is really scared for him to pass away. We shared a message about the Plan of Salvation and how it can help us find comfort in the midst of trial. Sometimes we have trials in our lives that we don’t understand. When we look at our trials in an eternal perspective, we can take comfort in the fact that God knows what is best for our development and our lives. The message we shared gave her comfort, and I know that if any of you are in the midst of trial that you can receive comfort in the Plan of Salvation and seeing things in an eternal perspective.
I hope you all have a good week!
Elder Watson
