Howdy!
Lots and lots of walking this week! I’ve never walked this much in my mission before, but I am having a blast. Elder Valenzuela and I are having a really good time, we are teaching lots of friends as well as keeping very busy contacting and visiting the less active members of our branch. This week we had the opportunity to do service for 2 less-active families in the branch, cleaning up trash and rubble near their home. It’s always interesting to do service as a missionary, you never know what you are going to get. Hopefully we can continue to fellowship the less-active families in our branch to help them go to church!

This week was also the birthday of our district leader Elder Gonzalez. The day of his birthday I did exchanges with his companion Elder Taylor. It was a lot of fun, Elder Taylor only has 2 months in the mission. I love seeing how new missionaries react to things and how they work in the mission. It makes me reflect on my first weeks/months in Paraguay. We worked hard that day and ended by meeting up with the other Elders for a little birthday celebration for Elder Gonzalez. He is about to finish his mission as well, and so our district is very balanced with 1 Elder just starting, 2 who are half way done, and 1 that is just about to finish up.

This past Sunday night we had a Family Home Evening with one of the member families in the branch. We watched a little short film about the First Vision, and afterwards we discussed what we watched. The members talked about the feelings they felt when they first read The Book of Mormon and met the missionaries and how they knew the church was true after sincere prayer. Elder Valenzuela and I loved hearing their experiences and told them to continually ask the Lord in prayer to reaffirm their spiritual confirmations. I want to extend the same invitation to each of you, that you may stand firm in your testimonies and always reaffirm the feelings and promptings you receive through the Holy Ghost.
I hope you all have a great week!
Elder Watson
