¡Hola a todos! ¿Cómo están?
This week Elder Harmer and I found out that we are both going to be transferred to Ita Paso, and that Hermanas will be taking our place in the branch here in Encarnacion. We are super excited to get to work there in Ita Paso, and are excited to work with Juan Carlos and see if we can invite his family and friends to come unto Christ! It is going to be the most rural area I’ve been to my entire mission, and everything is pretty spread out, but hopefully we can get bikes and be able to visit all the people we are teaching that live pretty far out.

They are a super cool family, the one on the very left returned from his mission just a couple weeks ago. He served in the Asuncion North mission, but started his mission in Brazil. Missionaries all over the world had to return to their home countries during COVID and he was no different.
We’ve been saying goodbye to all the members and friends we have been teaching. I loved serving in this area and getting to know the members and helping strengthen and serve the branch. We have made lots of memories and friends here, and I know that we have worked hard to support the branch. It stormed a lot this week and I´ve included some pictures of the storms rolling in. The weather here is crazy, and I’m still getting used to it. I’ve also included pictures of us visiting some cool families and people in the past transfer. I am really getting to love the people of Paraguay, they are always so nice and love to talk. Even if I am not a fan of the humidity and heat, I know where I am supposed to be and I love serving the Lord.

This past week I’ve been thinking about The Book of Mormon a lot. When President Benson called it the keystone of our religion, he wasn’t kidding. All of our doctrines, our revelations, and our faith relies on the reality of The Book of Mormon being the word of God. The most important thing we can do with The Book of Mormon is receive a witness that it is true. Even in the past if we have received such a witness, we need to continually apply the invitation given in the introduction of The Book of Mormon, to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. I know that The Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith was a prophet who received Priesthood authority from God and that priesthood authority is on the earth today. I know that if you all continue to receive a witness of the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon, you will be able to endure through your trials and tribulations.
Have a good week and have a good time!
Elder Watson
