So this week was kind of weird. It was really slow up until a couple days ago. Then we started getting some unwelcome news. On Saturday we found out that our Zone Conference would be held over zoom because of COVID. Then we found out this morning that our entire mission is going into 100% lockdown for a week because some missionaries had tested positive for COVID. So now we have to move all of our lessons to virtual and try our best to keep our sanity as we are stuck inside for the next week. It’s alright though, we had some great lessons the past couple days and the people we are teaching are really progressing. It’s comforting to know that the work can still push forward even in the face of a global pandemic.
This week we used the scriptures Matthew 5:14-16 a lot. It contains powerful and important doctrine for all of us:
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
I know that as we let our light shine by being positive and offering simple service, we will receive blessings and confidence from the lord.
Stay safe everyone, I’ve heard COVID in Utah is getting pretty bad. Congrats to BYU for flattening Boise State.
Love you,
Elder Watson.
I didn’t really take any pictures this week, so here is a funny sticker in poor camera quality on a car.
