Welp, this week was…. pretty uneventful.

There were a handful of COVID cases in the mission and so we were forced to be inside at the beginning of the week.  And then we were told we could be out to members houses if we weren’t experiencing any symptoms.  That was a really good blessing, because I really like meeting members and other people in person.  One of the senior missionaries was in the OSU hospital because of COVID, so we held a mission fast for him and he is doing much better and has been discharged from the hospital!  The Lord truly is looking out for his servants out in the field.

For P-Day today we helped an elderly lady in the ward move some couches from an outdoor school here in Mansfield to her house.  We got the other Elders who are much larger than us and they helped us carry them out.  The outdoor school she worked at was really cool.  There were taxidermied animals like bears and owls all over the place.  She told us it was really busy before COVID but because of it, there are no more field trips and no one is coming so they are filing for bankruptcy next month.  We agreed to go and do a tour of the surrounding nature area and falls next P-Day just to see it all before it gets sold to the bank.

When thinking about how COVID has changed our way of life, I am grateful everyday for the ability we have for our faith not to change.  When we stick to doing what we are supposed to do, studying our scriptures, saying our prayers, and going to church, our faith and testimonies will remain constant in an ever changing world.  Although the world around us may change in values, we can remain anchored in Christ by acting on our faith.

That’s it from me.  I’ll try to take more pictures for next week.  Stay Safe, and I love you.
