Hi!
We had a very busy week. It started off on Tuesday when I finally got vaccinated! I got the Pfizer vaccine and it was a very interesting experience. Right now in Paraguay they are opening up vaccines gradually, it has been available for the elderly since April and finally 19 year olds like myself can get vaccinated. I am lucky to have avoided COVID this long without the vaccine so I am very grateful to finally get it. The next few days Elder Valenzuela and I worked really hard with our investigators as well as working on the Facebook Pages that the mission runs. It’s always fun to work on the pages because you’ll always get interesting messages from people and it was a great way for me to practice my Spanish when I first got here.
On Friday we had Zone Conference. We had lots of different trainings about comp unity, the Book of Mormon, the restoration, and working in our area book. I love having Zone Conference, it is always so uplifting. President Faundez is a great leader for us and I am excited to continue to work with him. On Saturday we spent a portion of the day cleaning the chapel for the District Conference that was happening that night and on Sunday. District Conference is almost exactly the same as Stake Conference except it essentially has 2 presidencies, the Mission Presidency and the District Presidency. I loved hearing the messages of the speakers, which centered on forgiveness, teaching your children, and strengthening your family.
All of these conferences have made me really excited for General Conference in 2 weeks. General Conference as a missionary is a really cool experience because it is a time for me to receive revelation on my area, my investigators, and my spiritual health. It’s also a great time for you all to do the same! I hope you all can find the time in the next few weeks to prepare to receive personal revelation during General Conference!
