Hi!

Well it was a week with a lot of stuff that’s been happening. It started Monday evening with a massive storm that came in and took our power out until about 12:30 at night. I woke up at 1:30 to go to the bathroom, and when I put my foot on the ground I heard a quiet “gloop” and realized that the floor of our bedroom was flooded with water. Luckily our possessions weren’t really on the ground so we just had to push all the water out with a squeegee but it was still kind of funny and annoying at the same time. The next day after district council we did service together as a district, where we built a fence around a member’s property. It was a lot of fun and afterwards we even found out that one of the members of the family isn’t baptized yet, so Elder Orr and I are going to have lots of work in the coming weeks.

After that the week went by pretty normally. Yesterday I called all the Elders in my district and ALL of them are going to have baptisms this week. We are going to be pretty busy this week with all the interviews that are needed, but I am really excited. Speaking of the baptismal interviews, I want to invite you all to read them. They are as follows:

1-Do you believe that God is our Eternal Father? Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior and Redeemer of the world?

2-Do you believe that the Church and gospel of Jesus Christ have been restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith? Do you believe that [current Church President] is a prophet of God? What does this mean to you?

3-What does it mean to you to repent? Do you feel that you have repented of your past transgressions?

4-You have been taught that membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints includes living gospel standards. What do you understand about the following standards? Are you willing to obey them? The law of chastity, The law of tithing, The Word of Wisdom, The Sabbath day, including partaking of the sacrament weekly and rendering service to others.

5-When you are baptized, you covenant with God that you are willing to take upon yourself the name of Christ and keep His commandments throughout your life. Are you ready to make this covenant and strive to be faithful to it?

It’s good to study these questions and answer accordingly, even if we are already baptized members of the church. We need to always reaffirm our faith and testimony in the church, and I invite each of you to do so!

That’s it from me, I hope you all have a good week!

Elder Watson
