What’s up!
This week was an excellent week! Although there wasn’t too much that happened we had some awesome experiences. Elder Valenzuela and I received a referral from a member here in the branch. There was a girl from Ciudad del Este that was living with them that had previously met with the missionaries, and that she wanted to meet with us and be baptized! We were ecstatic, and once we got her number Elder Valenzuela thought she was oddly familiar. We came to find out that Elder Valenzuela had already taught her when he was in Ciudad del Este. They had to stop teaching her because of family problems, but luckily the Lord still had a plan for her. We have her baptismal date for the 29th, and we are very excited. The Lord’s plan is perfect, even when we may not see it.
We also continued to visit our other friends this week. We had the opportunity to visit our friend Blanca this week. Blanca is an elderly woman that lives close to a lot of our other investigators. It’s hard for her to go to church because she has difficulty walking but it’s great to visit with her. We shared with her Elder Perkins’ message from General Conference. We related his struggle with cancer with problems we face ourselves, and how we need to rely on the strength of the Lord to get through them. Blanca then told us that she didn’t really have a relationship with the Lord before meeting with us and that it has been difficult to feel God’s love when she is alone and no one visits her. She started to cry when she told us that our visits with her have helped her come closer to God and feel His love for her. The Spirit was really strong, and it was a great reminder for me that I need to always strengthen my relationship with God so that I can feel his love even in the midst of trials.
I hope you can all find ways to strengthen your relationship with God as well!
That’s it from me, have a good week!

I didn’t really take any pictures this week so here is a video of a dead cat:
