Hey Everyone!
P-Day was on Wednesday due to transfers, and Elder Harper and I are still not getting transferred! We are getting a 3rd Elder in our companionship though due to some big news! Last Wednesday we had interviews with President, and he told me that I’ll be shipping off to Paraguay on the 1st of January! It was a big surprise, I wasn’t expecting to be shipped out until midway through next year, or even maybe later. It’s crazy to think that my days in Ohio are numbered and that soon I’ll be speaking Spanish. It’s almost like I’m starting a brand new mission, leaving what I know and am comfortable with and going into something I don’t know a lot about and am not very confident about. It will be alright though, I still have my Heavenly Father to rely on!
This week we were able to put 3 people on date for baptism! President gave us a goal a few weeks ago, where he challenged us to have someone either baptized or on date by the end of the year, and we have reached that goal! It’s great to see how the Lord helps us when we work diligently and with patience and humility. I know that the rest of the mission has also been seeing similar miracles, and it’s really comforting to know that the Lord is looking out for his missionaries!
As I prepare to head out to Paraguay, the counsel in Ether 12:27 keeps coming back to my mind. I will have to make one of the biggest adjustments in my life so far as I get ready to head out. It will be difficult, very difficult, but I know as I humble myself before the Lord, he will make my weaknesses my strengths, and I will be able to touch the hearts of those I serve.
