This week has been pretty weird, but this coming week is going to be a lot weirder! In the middle of the week we went on exchanges with our Zone Leaders, and during it we got a text from President that now my date to leave to, “The Paraguaya”, as Elder Hakes calls it, is now on the 22nd. This Friday! Usually how they have us do COVID tests for the flight is they send us a self-test kit and we do that and send it back to Salt Lake for it to get tested. Well, Salt Lake didn’t send them for some reason, so the Assistants called and told us to drive down to Columbus and get tested. But, its more than the 72 hours from our flight on Friday, so we kind of just drove there for nothing today, but it’s ok we will all get tested tomorrow for our flight. It’s been pretty crazy and I can’t wait to sleep tonight haha.
Its transfers tomorrow and Elder Harper is getting transferred up to Kirtland. It’s kind of crazy because I’ve been with him for three transfers and haven’t been with any other companion, and my next companion is most likely going to be a Paraguayo who doesn’t speak English. It’s going to be a very big adjustment but I’m excited. I know I was called to Paraguay by the Lord, and I know there are people there I’m supposed to love and serve who are waiting!
With all the craziness going on with civil unrest, covid, and so many other things in the world it can be difficult to find a time to quietly reflect on the Savior and his Atonement. This Sunday when I partook of the sacrament, I was able to have one of those quiet moments and it was so awesome. Make sure you are all setting aside time each day to quietly reflect on your blessings and the Atonement of the Savior.
I hope you all have a great week!
