Hola!
This week was quite a doozy. On Tuesday we had our last district council before Transfers. Then on Wednesday I dropped Elder Orr off at the mission office and picked up my Chilean ‘Guardespaldas’ (Bodygaurds) and we headed back down to Ypané. It was a good day up until we got back to the apartment where upon putting the key in the door and twisting it, the key promptly snapped, leaving us standing outside our apartment at about 9 p.m. without a way of getting inside. We called our Landlord and he was able to get a dude to come and knock out the doorknob and lock and replace it. It was sure one way to start off this transfer.

Then throughout the week I showed Elder Montero and Elder Muñoz around Ypanè. Elde Montero is from Temuco Chile, and Elder Muñoz is from Concepción Chile, and they both have around 5 months in the mission field. We had a great time together, and on Friday we had a lesson with a part member family, where we were able to put a members wife, and 2 daughters on date for baptism. We also were able to help a few other friends come to church on Sunday, so it was a very productive first week. Next week we will be having a competition with another Zone of the mission to see which Zone can get more new investigators to teach, so with our family with a baptismal date, investigators that are progressing, and the competition to acquire new people to teach, next week should be awesome and busy!

On Sunday the person that teaches Sunday School woke up sick, and so I was called on to teach the lesson. Something that struck me from this week’s come follow me while I was teaching was the symbolism of the story of Joseph. Specifically, the humility he had to forgive his brethren for what they did to him. Much like how he forgave his brethren, the Savior will forgive us when we betray him by sinning. It may be a harsh way to say it I believe it’s a good way to put it, it’s important to know that the Savior will always forgive if we have humility like Joseph did.
That’s it from me, until next week!
Elder Watson
