Hi!
It was an interesting week, on Tuesday we had exchanges with our Zone Leaders as well as a big District Council with other areas in the Caaguazu zone. That was super fun, but then the next day was very weird. In Paraguay, there is this town called Caacupé (pronounced KAH-AH-KOO-PAY), where they believe the Virgin Mary appeared to do… something… don’t really know what… but she was allegedly here so they built a cathedral and a statue in Caacupé to honor her. Every 8th of December they have a holiday for when they believe the virgin came to Paraguay, and everyone makes a big pilgrimage to Caacupé to to honor the virgin statue they have. People from all over the country literally go on their hands and knees for days crawling to the town for this ceremony. And so because of that Wednesday was difficult to work because it was a holiday, but luckily we still were able to get work done and we were even invited to a branch party. So just some interesting cultural knowledge of Paraguay there.

We had the baptism of Antonela this Saturday as well! It was at the same time as a seminary graduation ceremony so there weren’t too many people but it still went very well. On Sunday I was able to confirm her and I felt the spirit very strongly. Baptisms are awesome. It’s only a 5-week transfer and I’ve already been in Oviedo for 3 transfers so I was assuming that I was going to get transferred, so on Sunday, I visited a bunch of members whose pictures are below. Lo and behold we get the call on Sunday night and… I’m staying here as a district leader. Cool, just a bit weird that I told everyone that I was leaving probably but now I have to eat my words. Oh Well.

As a Zone this week we studied the talk, “A Faithful Search Rewarded”. It was a great talk that speaks about missionary work and the blessings that come to both the missionary and the recipient of the message. I hope you all can take the time this week to listen or read it and afterward seek the Lord’s help in applying it to your lives.
That’s it from me have a good week!
