Howdy!
This was the week of rain. It rained heavily almost all during the week except for the weekend. That means lots of mud. Lots and lots of mud. But we had a good time with it, even though all my shoes are essentially destroyed.

We were busy visiting a lot of the friends we are teaching. We also had the opportunity to meet Antonela this week. Antonela lives with her grandmother alone, and they lack a priesthood holder in her house. She’s 9 years old and has a desire to be baptized, so we are going to help her with that. Even more important than her baptism is the need to minister to her and help them always stay active even without a priesthood holder in her house so that they can always remain active. We also had our friend Blanca be able to attend church this week. For the past month or so she hasn’t been able to attend because she lives far and she is an older lady so it’s difficult for her to walk. But we were able to enlist the help of a returned missionary in the branch to give her a ride to church. So it was a good week!

I have learned on my mission the importance of ministering to those who are in more difficult circumstances than others. The Savior said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another”. When we have a genuine love for others and serve them with all our heart, might, mind, and strength we can find joy in our lives that doesn’t come from any other source. The joy that comes from service is unique, and I hope all of you can find ways to give service to others.
Until next week!
